Androniki Oikonomaki studied Classical Philology at the University of Crete (BA 1991 and MA 2005) and received her PhD in Classics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2010). Since 2017 she holds the position of Scientific and Laboratory Teaching Staff in the Department of Classics and she is a member of the Epigraphy and Papyrology Laboratory of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her research interests include ancient Greek and Latin epigraphy, historiography, ancient literacy, and epic poetry.  She is co-author, with Y. Z. Tzifopoulos, of an introductory book on Greek Epigraphy (Εισαγωγή στην ελληνική επιγραφική. Από τον 8ο αιώνα π.Χ. ως την ύστερη αρχαιότητα, 2015). She is also contributor to Wiley Blackwell Encyclopedia of Ancient History and she has published articles in the field of epigraphy and ancient literacy.
