The Department of Linguistics of the Faculty of Philology AUTH, in the light of the generalized economic crisis, the austerity measures and the lack of substantial financial support to the Meeting thereof, decided to minimize its duration while maintaining its long standing annual basis, and, of course, its high standards. Thus, as from 2012 the conference will last one day (10-11 slots), and will be themed. It will be preceded by the student 'pre-conference' session, to be held in 2012 on April 26. The Institute for Modern Greek Studies ('Manolis Triantafyllidis Foundation') remains the regular-and generous-sponsor of the Meeting, since, despite the adverse economic situation, it has been publishing without interruption the Proceedings of the Meeting for over a decade.
Pre-conference graduate workshop
A pre-conference postgraduate workshop will be held on the 26th of April 2012. Students (postgraduate and doctoral) are encouraged to submit an abstract on any field of linguistics. State-of-the-art and review papers will not be accepted for presentation. The papers that will be accepted for presentation may be further submitted for publication in the Proceedings.
