32nd Annual Meeting of the Department of Linguistics - auth

A few reminders before the event

The Department of Linguistics, School of Philology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, is pleased to announce its 32nd Annual Meeting to be held in Thessaloniki on May 6-8, 2011. We invite contributions that highlight (a) the interface among the grammatical components (phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics), (b) the relation between language and other cognitive components such as memory and processing, (c) the role of theoretical linguistics in speech and language therapy and (d) the role of empirical methods from computational, corpus-based, experimental and sociolinguistic approaches to language research in the construction of formal linguistic analyses. Due to the thematic diversity, the 32nd Meeting will be organized into four thematic workshops, each headed by one or two keynote speakers.

The thematic workshops are:

A. Grammar at the Interface

B. Language Processing and Memory

C. Linguistics and Language Pathologies

D. Empirical Methods in Formal Linguistics Research
